What is stored

An account is a sign-in through Apple or Google. There is no Tripslate password to create, forget, or leak: signing in hands back your email address, and that address is what the account is. Beyond that, Tripslate stores the trips you create: names, dates, destinations, the plans inside them, any confirmation codes or notes you type, and any files or photos you attach. If you ask it to watch a flight, it stores that flight number and date so it can check the status. If you enable notifications, it stores a device push token.

Trip content is stored so it can sync between your devices and, if you turn sharing on, be shown read-only to the specific people you invite by email. Nothing you create is public, and there is no discovery, feed, or social surface anywhere in the product.

What is never done with it

• Your travel data is not sold, rented, or shared with data brokers or advertisers.
• There is no advertising in the app, so there is no ad profile to build.
• Your trip content is not used to train machine-learning models, by Tripslate or by the model provider.
• Your location is never tracked in the background, never saved to your account, and never attached to a trip. See below for the one moment it is asked for.

Location

The Today screen shows the weather where you actually are, rather than where you are going. To do that, the app asks your phone for your location while you have Today open. The coordinates are used to look up a forecast and nothing else. The fix itself is held in memory: it is not written to your account, not synced between your devices, and gone when the app closes. Tripslate rounds it to roughly a kilometre before asking the forecast service, and that rounded square is all the forecast service is given, with no account, name, or device attached to it. The forecast that comes back is cached on your phone against the same rounded square, so the weather still reads when you are offline.

Saying no is a fine answer. The weather line simply stays empty, and nothing else in the app changes. You can also set a weather location by hand in Settings, and if you do, your device location is never requested at all.

Who processes it

Running the app means handing pieces of data to a small number of specialist service providers, each hired for a single job and none of them free to use what they see for anything else:

• A cloud database and storage provider holds your trips, your account, and the files you attach. This is where your data actually lives.
• A hosting provider runs the servers behind the app and this website.
• An AI model provider is what the trip wizard and the written day brief run on. Only the text needed for that one request is sent, never your whole account, and it is not used to train models.
• A subscriptions provider works alongside the App Store to track whether your plan is active. Payment is handled by the App Store, so Tripslate never sees your card details.
• An email provider sends the occasional transactional message, such as a sharing invitation.
• Travel data providers supply flight schedules and status, weather forecasts, and place search results. They receive only the thing being looked up, a flight number, a rounded location, a search term, never your identity or your trip.
• A push notification service passes alerts to Apple for delivery to your device.

What the AI is given

When you plan a trip with the wizard, or read the short brief on the Today screen, the details needed for that one request are sent to the model provider and the answer comes back as a draft. AI in Tripslate proposes; you decide. It never changes or deletes anything in your trip on its own, and your files and attachments are not fed to it.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account from within the app. Deleting it removes your trips, plans, attachments, and the account record itself. Backups roll off on their own schedule, so a copy may persist for a short window after deletion before it expires.

Children

Tripslate is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
